Blessings to all for the new year, hard to believe it is 2024!

Let us all continue doing God’s work for our church and community.

Spring is in full bloom, well almost! I think the nicer weather and longer daylight hours add so much to our blessed lives and those we serve.

Our Pastor Amy has returned from a wonderful pilgrimage to the Netherlands, her family's homeland. Please ask her about this awesome experience. I, myself was so blessed to visit the Holy Land, Israel, where our Lord and Christ was born, lived, crucified, and rose for all of us! This was a historic/scenic and informative trip that I

In March and into April our congregation had a wonderful season of Lent joining Peace United Methodist, leading up to Holy week from Maundy Thursday, worshiping the Passion of Christ on Good Friday and finally joyous Easter to celebrate the miraculous rising of our Christ, Jesus!

March 19th the Church Council members had our "brain-storming" retreat at Gethsemane which took most of the day after church services. We were quite productive and started planning important go

The ongoing Lenten worship season brings us into fellowship with Peace United Methodist Church on alternating Wednesdays via the soup, bread, and worship services. This is good. We stay together as Christ followers in our community and reach out to all those we can by being inclusive, welcoming and, most importantly, loving.

Update on council actions — Recently, we have purchased a new freezer after the old one was in need of retirement! Other areas in need of attention inc

I am honored to have attended and ran my first council meeting on February 14, yes you heard that correctly, on Valentine’s Day, but in the evening

Greetings everyone! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. This month the council did not have its regular meeting, but instead gathered for a Christmas get together. I would like to take this time to thank the members of the council for all their work in the past year. I would also like to thank all of the members of Gethsemane that spend countless hours making a difference, not only here at Gethsemane, but in our community as well.

Merry Christmas!

At our church council meeting in November, the biggest thing on the agenda was going through the 2023 budget. A budget was agreed upon and will be presented to the congregation for their approval at the annual meeting. I can’t thank Bruce Kniivila, our Treasurer, enough for all of his hard work preparing the proposed budget and for the amazing job he does all year. Gethsemane is blessed to have him.

We are looking for two individuals to represent our c
