We Look Forward To Meeting You!

Welcome to Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

It's important to us that you feel welcome when visiting. We hope our atmosphere will help you feel comfortable and yet experience the presence of God in sacred activities. The music and worship are built around Biblical themes that are timeless. We are glad to have you join us in worship! You will be greeted and welcomed.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you're welcome at Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church and we're excited for you to consider being a part of this church family! Our intent is to welcome the whole family. During our worship service we have Sunday School available for children (PreK-5th grade). Your children will hear bible stories and learn about Jesus from caring adult leaders during this time. To learn more about our Sunday School ministry, go HERE. We also have a middle school Confirmation ministry that meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year, for more on that ministry, click HERE.

Sermon

From the pulpit you will hear sound, relatable preaching. The focus of each sermon is built around the Biblical text and the Christian teachings based on the Lutheran theology of grace, law & gospel, and discipleship. Our pastor tries to speak from the heart, while engaging listeners in wondering together about God's message through the Holy Scripture, and teaching a little along the way!

Biblical Teaching

Here at Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church, we value preaching and teaching God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to praise God, be encouraged, be challenged and encouraged by God's Word, and be strengthened to serve our neighbor. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members and friends have a chance to grow, fellowship, serve, or otherwise be a part of a church that lives out their faith together. There are bible studies and other learning opportunities available, as well as Sunday School, Confirmation, and High School Youth Group for young people.
